Tim Story
I started endurance sports in 2009 on a dare to enter a local sprint triathlon. Since that day, I have competed in numerous events including my first marathon last January. This year I am training to get a personal record time in my half marathon and Olympic distance triathlon.

I started running 9 years ago as a way to become more fit and healthy. Since that time, I have completed 8 full marathons, over 35 half marathons and a number of 10K, 8K, 5K distances. I am not an incredibly fast runner, but I am an example of how anyone (yes, anyone!) can do it! What I enjoy most about running are the friendships that I have made along the way. My goals for 2017 is to simply continue running and eating healthy so I can chase my new grandson!!

I signed up for the Mebane Running Club New Runners Program in the summer of 2015 to increase my fitness level after several years of inactivity. Since joining MRC I have run several 5Ks and the Salem Lake 7 Mile Trail Run, which I describe as a 5K with a 4-mile warm-up.
