The MRC expands WEST!

Join the MRC in Burlington on Sunday mornings at 8:00am starting June 3rd

The Mebane Running Club is expanding west! Due to requests from community members in western and central Alamance County, the MRC will now host a Sunday morning group road run in downtown Burlington. This group run kicks off on June 3rd at 8:00am.

Company Shops Market will be our hosts. Runners are asked to park in the public lot behind the market on Webb Avenue (not in front of the shops) and walk through the Company Shops Market parking lot to meet. Route cards will be available for the first few sessions until regular routes are familiar to all.

Runners from Graham, Burlington, Mebane, Elon, Gibsonville and beyond are encouraged to join us for a group run and post-run breakfast and coffee.

Thanks to the management team at the Company Shops Market for hosting the MRC!

All of the normal policies will be in effect:

  • Speed: 7-13 min. mile pace groups
  • Distance: 3-10 miles (attendee dependent)
  • Policies: New runners always welcome!  Baby joggers & friendly, leashed dogs are welcome as well.
  • Post-run coffee and conversation: optional but highly encouraged
  • Group Run Weather Policy: If there is thunder or lightning, no run. Drizzle, heat, cold or light rain? Lace up your shoes….let’s go!
  • Safety reminders - ID and water are always encouraged on our runs. Cell phones can be helpful. Due to area traffic, please stick to one earbud if music is a necessity.
