Mebane – 4th Annual Hurricanes Wrestling Club 5K Turkey Trot
- Distances: 5K Run / Walk and 1.5 mile Fun Run / Walk
- When: Thanksgiving Day 8:30am warm up / 9:00am race
- Where: Cjets 300 W. Crawford Street Mebane, NC

Carrboro – Cardinal Track Club “Double B” Gallop & Gorge 8K
- Distance: 8K run and FREE Little Turkey Kids Races
- When: Thanksgiving Day 8:00am
- Where: Fleet Feet Sports 200 N. Greensboro St. Carr Mill Mall, Carrboro, NC
- Cost: $25, $30 after 11/19/09 (packet pick-up available on Tuesday and Wednesday), Bib timed, Race socks guaranteed to the first 1300 registrants
- Proceeds: Go to the 2009 Community Partner Organizations: Arc of Orange County, El Centro Latino, Optimist Club of Chapel HIll and Orange County Rape Crisis Center
- Donations: Please bring a canned food donation on race day for the Inter-Faith Council Food Pantry

Greensboro Gobbler 5k and 1.5 mile Dog & Jog and Youth Race
- Distance: 5K Run, 1.5 mile Youth Race, 1.5 mile Dog & Jog
- When: Thanksgiving Day 8:30am Dog & Jog & Youth Run, 9:00am 5K
- Where: Greensboro Country Park 3902 Nathanael Greene Drive

- Donations: Consider a donation of wet or dry dog food. Proceeds will go to the Guilford County Animal Shelter.
