T-shirts available to all pre-registrants and day-of registrants while supplies last. Strollers / walkers are encouraged and will line up behind racers on the 5K course. Sorry, no pets.
The Mebane Mad Dash is a 1 mile fun run for kids of all ages. The Mebane elementary school with the greatest percentage participation will be awarded $750 in fitness / health equipment for their school.

Info About Mebane on the Move
The Mebane Women’s Club has recently started an initiative called Mebane on the Move, which is designed to improve the health & fitness of our community. We are working in partnership with local businesses, healthcare providers, city government, schools and neighborhoods, to educate Mebane residents about the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. Furthermore, our goal is to provide more opportunities for our neighbors and friends to be physically fit and make healthy food choices.

September 26th, 2009 – Bands on the Run 5k/Kids Half Mile Fun Run in Hillsborough
The event will begin and end at the Orange County Board of Education Building at 200 E. King Street, Hillsborough, NC 27278
The race will begin promptly at 9:00 am on Saturday, September 26, 2009.
Adults: $20 (early) – $25 (late)
Children Ages 11-17: $15 (early) $20 (late)
Children Ages 5-10: $5
Entry Fee includes a great t-shirt!
1st place overall (male & female) , 2nd place overall (male & female)
Additional awards for the top two finishers (male & female) in each of the following age divisions: 8 and under, 9-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. There will be no duplication of awards.
General Information and Packet Pick-Up
The Course is certified by USATF (NC08046PH). All performances will count toward state records and national rankings. Course is a paved asphalt surface with gentle hills and slopes through scenic downtown Hillsborough.
All pre-registration packets can be picked up at Cedar Ridge High School on September 25 from 4 pm -6 pm and on race day beginning at 7:30 am at the race site. Parking will be available at race site in all downtown Hillsborough Public Lots.
The race is managed by the Orange County Band Programs. Registration, timing and results are performed by Off ‘N Running. For further information, contact Patricia Quigley at (919) 245-4000 x 21800.
From east of Hillsborough: Interstate 40 W to Exit 261 (Hillsborough), turn right. Follow Old NC Hwy 86 into Downtown Hillsborough. Turn right on Margaret Lane. The Orange County School Board Building is at the end of this street.
